THE HISTORY OF AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

We are aware of automatic sprinkler systems and their effectiveness for protecting life and property for over 100 years.

But, there are still some aspects about the operation and effectiveness of automatic fire sprinkler systems that warrant further education.

DID YOU REPLACE YOUR SMOKE DETECTORS?

SERVPRO of East Kalamazoo recommends using Smoke Detectors with Lithium Battery + Replacement Alert for your home and office.  The LED light will go off on the detector, reminding you to replace it.  There is no need to replace batteries with these systems, simply replace the smoke detectors as needed.

DID YOU KNOW WATER SPRINKLERS PRODUCE LESS DAMAGE THAN FIRE HOSES?

Water damage from a sprinkler system will be  less severe than the damage caused by water from the fire hydrants and hose lines.  Sprinkler systems release 8-24 gallons of water per minute while fire hoses release 80-125 gallons per minute.

In the event that you do sustain fire or water damage, SERVPRO of East Kalamazoo is ready to help!  Call us today for an assessment of your property damage.  We are always available at 269-342-2366.
